Minimal is part of the Glasgow Music 2011/2012 Season
The Smith Quartet will give a rare performance of Morton Feldman’s String Quartet No.2, a beautiful but demanding six hour long piece which there will never be many chances to hear live. Longer than any of Wagner’s operas, it requires discipline and dedication from its players, but it is undeniably one of the sublime achievements of the 20th Century.

Please Note: This concert will take place at 3pm instead of 2pm as originally advertised.
Please note that this performance will last around 6 hours without interval, although audience members will be free to enter or exit the hall at particular points.
Ticket holders for Morton Feldman are welcome to join the audience for Riley's In C after the interval.
