One ticket buys you three great concerts back to back: Woven into it is a kind of snapshot portrait of the revered Dutch composer Louis Andriessen from militant young man to venerated master.
Bang on a Can and London Sinfonietta join forces for pure adrenalin in musical form; this is the rock music of minimalism: loud, visceral, exhilarating and punchy. Hoketus pitches two identical ensembles against each other – they hurl great blocks of sound between them to build up an ever more intricate rhythmic patterns – mind-blowing. It’s followed by Workers’ Union – somewhere between thrash metal and the Rite of Spring.
Please note that this event is free to ticket holders of the 7.30pm concert in the Main Auditorium. Entry will be on a first come, first served basis.
