Monumental Scott featuring Phil Cunningham, Karen Matheson and Eddi Reader

Glasgow Royal Concert Hall : Main Auditorium

Please Note: This is a past event event.

Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.

As a suitably grand finale to ScottsLand celebrating the the 200th anniversary of Sir Walter Scott’s The Lady of the Lake – whose publication marked the pinnacle of his popularity as a poet, and first established the Trossachs region as a top destination for tourists – this programme of music, song and spoken word includes the premiere of a specially-commissioned new work by accordionist Phil Cunningham.

Creatively revisiting the same inspirational landscapes, together with their colourfully turbulent history, that so seminally fired Scott’s imagination, the piece will feature the peerless voices of Karen Matheson and Eddi Reader, among other special guests including John Doyle, Ian Carr, Ross Hamilton and Martin O’Neill, and will be narrated by Glasgow born actor Bill Paterson.

This event has been supported by Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park as part of the ScottsLand programme of events.

A limited number of our Premium Seats at £23 are available for this concert. These are the best seats in the house so book early to avoid disappointment!
