The RSNO at Kelvingrove

Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum : The Centre Hall

Please Note: This is a past event event.

Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.

Another magical evening of music in the wonderful surroundings of Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum where you can enjoy a rare opportunity to explore the exhibits at night before enjoying the sound of Scotland’s national orchestra resonating through the great hall.

Paul Goodwin, renowned for his historically informed interpretations of baroque music, conducts the RSNO in two great British musical masterpieces from very different eras. Handel’s famous Water Music was written for the grandest of occasions – King George I’s royal barge on the Thames – and includes the famous ‘Hornpipe’ and ‘Air’; Vaughan Williams’ romantic Fifth Symphony is a beautifully serene work from this most beloved of British composers.
