Little People, Big Voices

October 2009 – June 2011

Little People, Big Voices

This project, funded through the Scottish Arts Council’s Youth Music Initiative fund seeks to advance the musical, language and literacy skills of pre-school children through the provision of high quality, creative music making activities delivered by a team of expert early years music leaders. Over the course of this two-year project we will work with a total of 14 early years establishments, in year one we are focusing our efforts in the Drumchapel area of the city working with 7 nurseries there.

The project, which began in October 2009, also recognises the importance of staff training and continuing professional development and offers a programme of comprehensive training and support to early years professionals including in-service training as well as providing traineeships to 6 trainee music leaders.
