We work with a whole team of people to put Jazz Glasgow together:
Assembly Direct
Their mission is to promote jazz concerts and related programmes in Scotland and internationally. Annually, they promote over 200 concerts from large-scale events to small intimate concerts.
BBC Scotland
The BBC is keen to promote jazz and support jazz musicians in Scotland. Jazz House is BBC Radio Scotland's dedicated programme (Wednesdays at 8pm) and features two hours of the latest mix of jazz releases from Scotland and beyond, featuring live session musicians and round-table guests every week. You can also listen in to Jazz Line Up (Saturdays at 4pm) and Jazz Legends (Fridays at 4pm) on BBC Radio 3.
City Halls
As Glasgow's Centre for Music and a creative hub,
"We are delighted to be hosting world class jazz events year round in the City Halls and Old Fruitmarket and playing our part in providing jazz for all in Glasgow."
Colin Hynd, Head of Project Development, Glasgow's Concert Halls
Glasgow International Jazz Festival
The Glasgow International Jazz Festival is one of the biggest jazz festivals in Europe and is held annually in June in the Merchant City area of Glasgow. In recent years, the festival has featured saxophonist David Murray and singer-songwriter Van Morrison, as well as showcasing more locally based talent, such as singers Carol Kidd and Tommy Smith.
