International Season

Glasgow’s Concert Halls’ very own International Classical Season features a hand-picked selection of the world’s most accomplished and inspirational classical musicians. You'll find a whole range of top class performances by a host of artists from almost every continent.

We celebrate star names alongside new and emerging talent, and offer the chance to hear magnificent artists within the same season as younger more groundbreaking musicians.

The Season takes place across all of our prestigious venues – the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and City Halls. This means that you’ll be able to hear each musician or orchestra in the best possible acoustic space.

"Another glittering new season to be shared between two world-class venues... the line-up is so starry its combined glow could probably illuminate the entire stretch of the M8."

Sunday afternoon recitals at City Halls

In an exciting new departure for the International Classical Season, two series of Sunday afternoon recitals will take place at City Halls in partnership with BBC Radio 3 as part of the season.

The Bohemians mini-series will celebrate music from the cultural crossroads of Europe with performances from some of the continent’s most respected chamber musicians in this repertoire.

The wonderful second series of matinee recitals as part of the International Classical Season is Romantic Bach, which follows on from BBC Radio 3’s 2007-2008 Secret Bach series. Romantic Bach celebrates Bach’s legacy and influence on future generations.
