Strathclyde Suite

The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall's Strathclyde Suite is a self-contained venue within the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, with its own entrance and bar area for patrons meaning it is possible to put on a production in the Strathclyde Suite at the same time as another production is taking place in our Main Auditorium. The Strathclyde Suite has its own full sound and lighting rig, and the backstage area houses two small en-suite dressing rooms, one located at either side of the stage. Should you require a larger backstage area, the Buchanan Suite, which is located on the level immediately above the stage, can be used as a larger dressing room area (subject to availability), and is easily accessible from the rear of the Strathclyde Suite's backstage area.

The Strathclyde Suite is a standard rectangular auditorium with fixed stage and has a maximum capacity of 500 when laid out in a theatre style format. The seating is not fixed which means that the room can be set up in various layouts - cabaret style concerts (seating up to 300 patrons) are particularly effective in this performance space. Although the room is carpeted, there is the option of adding a dance floor, should that be required.
